Performing Arts Producer and Manager Claire Morton collaborates with artists and organisations in order to create, develop and deliver.

Claire brings over 12 years of extensive experience, knowledge and enthusiasm of working with a range of projects and artists across performing art-forms and the cultural sector. Her portfolio ranges from independent artists to international touring companies. Claire is interested in a collaborative and creative dialogue, working alongside artists to make their project happen.

From 2008-2014, Claire co-directed Morton Bates Arts Services with fellow producer Joe Bates. During that time, MBAS helped to raise over £1.3m through Arts Council England’s Grants for the Arts, secured over 750 performance bookings and delivered approximately 100 projects across its portfolio. Previously to this, Claire was an Associate Manager with Gwen Van Spijk @ CUE (Russell Maliphant Company, Nigel Charnock, New Art Club, Ricochet Dance Productions) and also worked in the Museums sector on projects aiming to widen access and increase participation.

Claire holds a BA in Dance and Culture with Professional Training (University of Surrey) and a Masters Degree in Arts Management (City University, London) (Arts Humanities Research Council Award recipient), during which her research focussed on micro-organisational structures within the dance sector.

Claire is a fellow of the Clore Leadership Programme (short course), previous Executive Committee Member and Treasurer of IDMN and a member of the Dance Strategy Group run by South East Dance.
