This one day course is intended to benefit board members, senior managers and any professional who manages financial matters but does not have formal financial qualifications.
The course is an informal mix of the trainer’s presentation and exercises. It includes a mini master class looking at real life examples of management accounts. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions and draw on their own experiences. Course notes and reference materials are provided.
Jeremy Smeeth is Director of Finance and Resources at Mountview Academy, (previously Finance Director at Southbank Centre and Artsadmin).. He trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in London and began working in performing arts financial management in 1997. From 2008 to 2012 he was Director of Finance and Administration at National Theatre of Scotland. Previously he was Finance Director at Artsadmin and Finance Manager for Shared Experience, Company of Angels, International Workshop Festival, Chickenshed and the Orange Tree Theatre.
